Well, I am going to cut myself a bit of slack this week since I am late on the workout Wedsnesday blog. I just got back from vacation and I can’t seem to get my stuff together.
But…here we go…better late than never. I have talked about Cincinnati Fitness Boxing before and it was in one of my beginning blogs, but it is worth the workout Wednesday review to talk about them again.
I went to the facility with little to no boxing experience…ok NO is more like it. When walking into the facility, I was a little intimidated…the place looks like it is straight out of Rocky. I was met and greeted with a smile and after meeting the guys in charge, I realized it was going to be a great class. A couple things about Cincinnati Fitness and Boxing, when you walk in be prepared to workout…this isn’t a walk in the park or a Sunday drive. But, you can also go at your own pace so beginners and advanced persons alike can be in the same class and still get a tail kicking workout. The instructors are top notch and are ALWAYS willing to offer advice on stance, punches and appropriate form. Being a fitness instructor and physical therapist, form and injury prevention is always on my mind and Cincinnati Fitness Boxing provides this to all clients.
I have been going now for almost 2 months…I LOVE IT. I have missed the last few weeks because of vacation, but can’t wait to get back next week with my gloves on (I haven’t bought pink one’s yet ) and ready to have a workout that I will remember for a couple of days. I also have conquered things at Cincinnati Fitness Boxing, that I would have never done, like jumping tires, hitting things with sledge hammers and various other things…but thankfully I have done those things because it is so much fun.
So, in review. Cincinnati Fitness and Boxing’s staff gets an A+. They are kind, helpful and funny. The facility gets an A+ too…if you are looking for an upscale gym with towel service and tv’s, this is not your place. If you are looking for a workout and knowledgeable staff…this is the place for you. The workout gets an A+ too, it is hard enough for those who are really fit and can be tailored to neebies. So, try it out your first class is free or message me and I will join you for your first class so you don’t feel alone. Moral of the story is, if you are looking to mix-up your workout this is a great workout to try.
