On Saturday, June 11th, tri-state women everywhere took a few hours out of their day to get their Skinny on! The Skinny Mom Fitness Camp, presented by Skinnymom.com and LA Fitness in Crescent Springs, had an overwhelming response from women of all ages, shapes, and sizes looking for some nutritional advice and fitness guidance. The purpose behind the fitness camp was to provide local women with sound guidelines for nutrition that would fit into their busy lifestyles and to give the women examples of workouts that are both fun and effective. By providing the women with a sampler session of various routines, they could experience for themselves that working out doesn’t have to feel like a chore, it can actually be that one hour you take for yourself to just rock out to some amazing music and get your body moving!

To further entice our ladies’ “healthy” appetites , during registration each participant received their own gift bag that included the detailed nutrition guidelines, protein bar and shake samples, various health and beauty products, business cards from Skinnymom’s fitness partners, as well as their very own Skinnymom T-shirt.

Once registrations were complete, the ladies were directed into the group fitness room where they participated in a combination of workouts including: Zumba, Hip hop, High Impact Kickboxing, Low Impact, and even a sassy little Burlesque! After the ladies were finished flying their fitness freak flags, the camp closed with some nutritional instruction from Registered Dietician and NFL Cheerleader Laura Vikmanis.

All in all the camp was an overwhelming success! While some women may have entered a little apprehensive and unmotivated, they each left with a smile on their face, a boost to their metabolism, and armed with some amazing knowledge about how to achieve their own Skinnymom body.
