I have to chuckle when I think about myself and fashion.  I can appreciate a nice blouse, cute shoes, and great accessories. I only get to dress as a semi-stylish woman on the weekends when I have somewhere to go that isn’t the grocery store or the library. My fashion style of choice comes from JCPenny.  JCPenny is the only store where clothes actually fit me. Being 5’1” with a weight that averages 117, I can find clothes made for (and compliment) my frame. The prices are great and there is one practically down the street from my house. How you can you go wrong?

My normal fashion style is cute track suits from JCP.  I prefer Capri style tracksuit or active wear with corresponding t-shirts and zippered jackets. I am not to the extreme and bling as Glee’s Sue Sylvester or Hot in Cleveland’s, Elka.  (Although, I do admire their spunk and tenacity).  I wear this fashion during my work week, Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Since I am a blissfully busy daycare provider, I need something comfortable to wear while crawling on the floor, playing outside and changing diapers.  I also need to be presentable too.  Unlike other work-at-home moms that can work in their pajamas, I actually have to see other people daily.  I have my daycare children’s parents and various representatives for my daycare licensing that can drop in any time during my work day.

I also love that after my workday; I can run errands and look like I just left the gym or some cool yoga class.  I am one that wouldn’t run errands in my pajamas (there are women that do). I was taught by my mother to make sure whenever I leave the house to be happy with my appearance.  So a simple run to the drug store will make me brush my hair, teeth and put on foundation, blush and lipstick- always. You never know who you are going to run into out and about. The only time I step outside in pajamas, without some sort of make-up and my hair uncombed is when I get the Sunday newspaper at the end of my driveway.  I am sure my neighbors shutter at the sight. So if you are looking for a comfortable, yet stylish clothing option consider a nice, brightly colored track suit.
