So many choices…..

By now we have all heard about BB creams. They are the new miracle creams that are popping up in every  beauty magazine and Sephora store from coast to coast. Can one cream really do it all? First let’s go over a few facts about these wonder creams

BB Creams are simply a combination of several products you’re probably already applying.

BB creams are multi-taskers that combine skincare ingredients with moisturizer, primer, foundation and SPF

Now the question on everyone’s mind…….

What’s the biggest benefit of using a BB cream over a traditional foundation or moisturizer?

BB creams can best be described  as combination products on steroids. By having a product that has a moisturizer and all the other actives mixed with your sunscreen, you don’t have to worry about which order you put them on. One of the most common mistakes women make is that they put on theirsunscreen last, thinking it should be closes to the sun, but it should really be put on first [before your makeup] or you don’t get the full SPF protection.

I was extremely skeptical to try BB creams — they seemed too good to be true, and I didn’t believe anything could top my tinted moisturizer. I have been using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer for years. I would apply it after I loaded on my arsenal of “other” products (moisturizer, primer, foundation, SPF)  So obviously when the BB cream craze came around I needed convincing. I tried MAC, Too Faced, Stila and Tart. Yes, I have issues with make-up !!! Of course I didn’t buy all these products~ FYI, if you’re really nice to the Sephora lady she will give you samples. Then I finally found “the one” it should have been the obvious choice~ SMASH BOX!!! Their version is fragrance-free (unlike most of the others), so it’s ideal if you’re allergic or sensitive to fragrances. It feels amazing going on and looks great even at the end of a long, hot day. I could not believe how great my skin looked after applying this product! One cream REALLY DOES DO IT ALL!!!! I do however apply a layer of SPF underneath just for good measure… can never be too protected!! So run out to Sephora and ask for a sample and try it for yourself
