Nobody likes working out while listening to dull, overplayed and over-bearing music.  Everyone has their very own perfect playlist in mind that would help them take full advantage of their exercise time at the gym, outside, or in the home.  There are so many awesome songs out this summer; they make my workouts so much more fun AND effective! Here are ten of my favorite songs to exercise to, whether I’m jogging with E, lifting at the gym, or dancing around the house!

  1. Springsteen – Eric Church: Great song to tune into while jogging in the park
  2. Drunk on You – Luke Bryan: Good cool down song. I also like to add some slower paced songs on my running playlist to help pace my speed.
  3. Payphone – Maroon 5: I enjoy listening to this while stretching out before my workout, because it gives me the energy to get started!
  4. Somebody That I Used To Know – Gotye: I LOVE this song, and can listen to it during any type of workout 🙂
  5. Starships – Nicki Minaj: This song even makes the stair master bearable!
  6. We are Young – FUN: Love cycling to this song, as it promotes various speeds for those big inclines.
  7. Lights – Ellie Goulding: Great running song!
  8. Scream – Usher: I really like lifting to this song. I catch myself dancing sometimes without even thinking about it 🙂
  9. Feel so Close – Calvin Harris: Good speed walking song, great to get your arms pumpin’ and increase your speed!
  10. ACDC – Shook Me All Night Long: An oldie but a goodie 🙂 I play this one ALL the time, when I’m already pumped for a good workout, when I’m lifting until I max out, and especially when I’m dragging my feet because this beat gets me right in the mood to work my booty off!
