slow cooker apple pie oatmeal recipe serves 4 low fat low calorie low sodium under 5 ingredents vegetarian view from the top

This breakfast is perfect for a big family brunch (my family can’t get enough)! I love using sweet red gala apples that are in season this time of year, but you can use any apples you have on hand! For a little extra sweetness, top with brown sugar and walnuts!

Be sure to spray your crock pot with non-stick cooking spray and stir the oatmeal after 5-6 hours. You’ll know your oatmeal is ready to go when edges are slightly brown. (Also, I make this in my Ninja Crock Pot, which I love because after it is done, I can turn the crock pot to the buffet setting and keep it warm until I am ready to serve the oatmeal!) For this recipe, I like to use half-water and half-Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk, but you could easily use 4 cups of water and replace the almond milk, or you could use 4 cups of almond milk and replace the water.
