This homemade version of taco seasoning is much lower in sodium and contains no artificial colors or additives! It’s enough seasoning for 1 lb of meat, chicken or lean ground beef, use as a substitute for store-bought taco seasoning packets.

Homemade Taco Seasoning

Serving size: Approximately 3 Tbsp

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a small bowl. Recipe yields a little less than 3 Tbsp. (Most store bought packets contain 2½ Tbsp).
  2. Use in place of store-bought taco seasoning packets.
