I’ve been thinking about getting on the green smoothie bandwagon, because I want to find interesting ways to incorporate more vegetables in my diet and find a fun way to trick my daughter into eating them as well. The Green Smoothie Bible by Kristine Miles is just what I needed to get started. This bible contains 300 delicious green smoothie recipes that will help you lose weight, boost energy, and feel great. She explains the importance of how raw, fresh veggies and fruits blended together can improve your health in many ways. This bible has chapters on what greens to use, what herbs to add, and how these recipes can aid in our weight loss journey. I tried her basic Beginner Smoothie:

  • 3 to 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of water
  • Handful of fresh, clean spinach

I thought it was delicious! 3 out of 5 of my daycare children also loved it! They drank it for their morning snack today. I think making green smoothies will become a regular practice at my house. It is a quick, fun, and delicious way to get important nutrients every day. There are smoothie recipes for cellular health, cardiovascular health, beauty, mood and much more!
