While I know diet soda isn’t the most expected ingredient for your holiday desserts, give it a chance! The results will leave you ready to bake another chocolately, fudgey pan!

I am human and I occasionally enjoy a diet soda…even in my baking. If this recipe offends anyone, I apologize, and you can still cook these divine brownies with the traditional baking ingredients.

Skinny Dr. Pepper Fudge Brownies

  • 12 oz can Diet Dr. Pepper®
  • 1.4 oz box Jell-O® Chocolate Fudge Fat-Free/Sugar-Free Pudding Dessert
  • 13x9 family-size box Duncan Hines® Chewy Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 2 egg whites


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix together dry brownie mix, Diet Dr. Pepper®, egg whites and dry pudding mix.
  3. Pour mixture into baking dish.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until brownies are cooked through or a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
