Everyone has that one song — the one that, no matter where you are, seems to force you out of your seat. Your body gets a mind of its own when it comes on, whether you’re at the mall, gym, a restaurant or in the shower. It’s “your jam.” When you’re in the middle of a tough workout, only your favorite jam can help you push through. Here are some of our Resident Moms’ go-to workout songs!

‘Pump up the Jam’ by Technotronic: I just realized that I have this song on four different playlists! I taught a bootcamp during the spring and I had compiled playlists for different types of workouts and this song always made the cut. It just takes me back to my freshman year of high school and dancing around my room with my BFF (who is still my BFF!). Lots of fun!” — Julia McClelland

“My current go-to workout song is Shut Up and Dance’ by Walk The Moon. It’s my new favorite running song. The lyrics in the chorus just motivate me to remember to keep my eye on my goals in running. Some days, I have bad runs and sometimes I have bad eating days, and it’s easy to fall back on your old ways when you don’t see a positive.

The lyrics say, ‘Oh, don’t you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me’ That sentence reminds me not to look back at the past because that was an unhealthy lifestyle, and keep your eyes on the end result, which is a fitter and healthier me. One of the last verses goes, ‘Deep her in eyes, I think I see the future.’ That line reminds me if I look in the mirror, I’ll see the fitter and healthier me, and it keeps me going. Not to mention the song really does make you want to get up and dance and sing as loud as you can.” — Jessica Keipper

“I can’t get enough of the song Shut Up and Dance’ by Walk The Moon. I love dance cardio, and the song is literally demanding to be danced to. I just can’t help but comply!” — Emily Allen

“It doesn’t matter whether I’m running or lifting weights, whenever I hear Work Bitch’ by Britney Spears, it motivates me to step it up a notch. It is such a great reminder that it takes hard work and dedication to get to where you want to be in life. Good things come to those who Work Bitch!” — Leslie Guzinski

Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars.” — Gretchen Coley

“My go-to jam for working out is Burn’ by Ellie Goulding. It gets the most play when I’m out for a run, but I also use it for strength training. No matter what point of my workout I’m at, the beat gives me a boost and I break into a mental dance party.” — Julie Davis

“An oldie but goodie! Only Girl (In The World)’ by Rihanna.” — Megan Robison

“My go-to workout song is Fun’ by Chris Brown and Pitbull. No matter where I am or what I’m doing, this song makes me wanna get up and MOVE! I have been known to bust out a cha-cha, even in the middle of bootcamp, while listening to this song.” — Treenah Kight

“Mine would be I Bet My Life’ by Imagine Dragons.” — Katie Serbinski

“My workout song is Hello Good Morning’ by Diddy (also known as Puff Daddy). No matter where I am, if they play this song I just have a crazy urge to run!” — Ellie Augustin

“My go-to workout song is Warriors’ by Imagine Dragons!” — Christina Collins

“Every time I’m running and In the Dark’ by Dev comes on, it always gives me that extra push to finish. It’s definitely one of my power songs!” — Lena Lawson

“My go-to workout song is All I Do Is Win’ by DJ Khaled featuring Ludacris, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg & T-Pain. If I need motivation to get my body moving, THIS IS IT! I cannot hear this song without wanting to jump around and get pumped up! I warm up with a little fist pumping, jumping and hand waving (not to mention the boys love dancing with me). I’m a ‘country girl’ at heart, but when I’m ready to get moving, this is ‘my jam’!” — Raye Dopson
