Do you struggle with embarrassing acne? Do you wish there was some magical eraser that could literally wipe them away? If so, then you’re in the right spot! For just 27 easy payments of … I’m kidding! I’m not selling anything, I promise. Don’t you just hate those infomercials, though? Moving on!
So the reason you’re here is because you have an issue with your skin, and you want to resolve it, right? Let me begin by telling you that I don’t have porcelain skin but this method that I swear by was truly a life changer for me! And I hope for you, as well!
I have been battling with moderate to severe acne for about 15 years. I tried what felt like every over-the-counter product – even the famous Proactive – prescriptions, and whatever “cure” I could find online. Nothing worked and everything just irritated my sensitive skin. Over the years the acne left scars, small holes, dents, uneven skin, dark spots and hyper-pigmentation. I lost hope and just discovered, no, mastered ways to cover them up with makeup.
No more rambling: My tried and true acne eraser is *dramatic music plays* (pause for effect) lemons. Yes, lemons are the answer! I drink about 16 ounces of warm lemon water every morning before my breakfast routine. I squeeze a half or whole lemon (depending on its size) into a glass of warm water (warm so your body doesn’t have to heat it up or cool it down if it’s too hot or cold). Now this method isn’t going to happen overnight; it needs to repair damage and the best way to do that is over a period of time. After three months, my skin is brighter, softer and, the best part, CLEAR of acne. Hear me out.

Let’s get technical for a moment.
- “Acne (n.): an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands, characterized by comedones and pimples, especially on the face, back and chest, and in severe cases, by cysts and nodules resulting in scarring.” — Dictionary
In conjunction, lemons are an excellent source of vitamin C, which has been shown to help reduce inflammation in the body. There it is! Simple enough, right?

Honestly, aside from the years of embarrassment dealing with acne, nothing hurt me more emotionally than a conversation between my daughter, Savannah, and me one day. She said something that was so vivid it stuck in my head and weighed on my heart. And I quote: “Mommy, why do you look like that?” I said, “Look like what, hunny?” With a disgusted look upon her face, she said, “Your face… it’s scary.” I was speechless. I took a moment to gather my thoughts. I replied, “Well, they’re called pimples and mommy tries everything to get rid of them.” Just when I thought her previous statement couldn’t hurt anymore, she surprised me with a follow-up. Savannah says, “I hope I don’t have them when I get older, they’re ugly.” She goes on playing and returns to me a few minutes later with another look on her face, but this time it looks sad. She goes on to say, “Mommy, I know you don’t like your pimples, but I still think you’re beautiful and I love you.” Proceeds to give me a kiss on my gross pimply cheek!
