I’m a mom to a 21-month-old boy and if you’re like me, you’re always on the lookout for new and creative ways to mix up lunch time. Here are five meals my son is loving at the moment.

Hot dogs: What mom doesn’t use the hot dog as her go to meal? It’s fast, easy and kids love them! Try opting for a chicken or turkey dog. Read the labels and look for no nitrates added. For side dishes, add sliced strawberries, kiwi and cheese for your new go-to meal!

Chicken quesadilla: I love my supermarket because I can get the pre-cooked, oven roasted chicken already shredded and this makes meal prepping a cinch! Grab a flour tortilla, shredded cheese and chicken, pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and you have lunch! I add cubed avocado on the side and this became one of my son’s favorite meals!

Mac-N-Cheese: Another kid staple! I’m a fan of Annie’s Shells and White Cheddar (organic option also available). I like to add the shredded chicken to this on occasion to mix it up and serve it with orange slices on the side.

Meatballs: Whether fresh or frozen, these are a hit in my house! Easy to prepare and tasty, I pair them with a side of brown rice and dried mixed berries. Click here for 7 Homemade Snackables for your family.

Deli meat, cheese and crackers: A healthy take on the classic Lunchable! At 21 months, my son is still too young to actually build a sandwich but he loves them all the same. I slice up turkey and cheese and serve them with whole wheat water crackers and a side of applesauce or yogurt.
