Laura Vikmanis, our very own “Mom to Cheer For” has landed a movie deal with New Line Cinema. Her real-life motivational story of how she overcame great odds to become the NFL’s oldest cheerleader will be made into a feature film, written by Emily Cook and Kathy Greenberg. Cook and Greenberg are known for writing great family films, including Gnomeo and Juliet and Ratatouille.

Laura, a mother of two and a certified nutritionist, first auditioned for the Cincinnati Ben-gals and although she didn’t make the team on her first try, she made it to the finals. Laura took the next year to practice and really focus on getting in better shape and on her second attempt she made the team making her the oldest NFL cheerleader in the league.
