Some days, I just do not feel like doing a workout!  I may not have had enough sleep, or not enough energy, or there’s just too much other stuff to get done.  The thought of trying to squeeze in one more thing like a workout just seems too overwhelming.  We have all been there, done that, right?  One missed workout leads to another, and then we might as well just get started next week because this week is completely blown!  Well stop that way of thinking right now.  The only bad workout is a missed work out.  It doesn’t have to be in the gym (check out my previous post on home exercises), and it doesn’t have to last an hour or more.  Just getting 20-30 minutes of HIIT training or cardio is better than nothing at all.  I find that if I will just get my shoes on and get going with the mind set of  squeezing in at least 20 minutes, then I usually end up feeling better and doing even more.  Even if it’s just walking or running around the neighborhood, or lunging up and down the street, (my neighbors probably laugh sometimes, but I don’t care)  at least you have made the effort to burn a few calories and release some of those endorphins.  Your body and your mind will thank you for it, and tomorrow you can do more!

So, just get up and go…..don’t wait until tomorrow or next week or next month!  The time is now for your improved health!  If you keep making excuses, then you will always be able to find a reason to put it off.  We all have busy lives and stress, but make yourself and your health a priority because if you don’t, then no one else will either.  Set the example for the whole family! On your mark, get set, GO!!!!!
