Trending Diets 2013
It’s no surprise that the paleo diet had the hightest amount of traffic of any diet this year compared to 2012. Although the trendy eating plan has been popular within the health and fitness community for a while now, it really hit the mainstream in 2013. If you’re interested in giving it a shot, consult our beginner’s guide to the paleo diet to ensure that your transition is easy, healthy, and stress-free. Other notable diets that made the list include Ashton Kutcher’s fruitarian diet, which, while trendy for a hot minute, is one to skip: It’s lacking in healthy fats and protein, and isn’t a sustainable form of healthy eating. But another plan on the list that’s worth a shot: The Mediterrean Diet, which has been shown to help reduce the risk of heart disease and mortality.
