As recommended, we are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day. However, drinking plain water can become very boring and tasteless. Since I’m pregnant and required to drink even more water, I’ve been looking for an alternative. After talking to a co-worker, she suggested adding fruit to my water. She has used oranges, cucumbers, lemons, and pineapple. What a great idea! I was eager to try this to see if it helped. So I went home and sampled every fruit. They were all tasty, but I think pineapple is the best.
The easiest way to do this is to purchase a couple of bags of pre-cut, frozen fruit at your local grocery store. I got the pre-cut pineapple pieces and it was so easy to just toss a few into my water bottle. Just like an ice cube but with a little kick. Give it a try and let me know what your favorite is
