It’s been a long winter for lots of states in the US…and our feet have been bundled up in socks and boots for many months. After a long hibernation, it’s time to get them ready for summer and flip flops. If you can’t get to the spa for a pedicure, here are some ways to get beach feet at home!
- Foot scrub and lotion! It can be easy as sloughing off the old and moisturizing the new. Choose scents that invigorate like lemon or peppermint but don’t use lotion between your toes. (It can promote infection.)
- Hot towel wrap. Warm a damp towel for a few seconds in the microwave and wrap around your tootsies. It will soften skin and nails so you can groom with ease.
- Hairy toes. Shave, wax, electrolysis…most women have some hair on their feet. It’s totally normal and is, in fact, a sign of good circulation. Remove it if it’s bothersome!
- Paint your toes a whimsical color! After a long winter, it’s time to have some fun! Ditch the dark colors and opt for a fresh, bright pink or surprising blue or orange.
