For the tomboy at heart, there’s a simple, square cut navy and cream stripe with some Keds sneakers. An artsier approach would be getting the striped shirts with the graphic print over the stripe: hearts, anchors, even a crab silhouette.
Chic is always a part of this look when you work the white pants and gold accessories!
We combined a little of everything to create this casual but totally in-style look. Rather than going for the expected striped sweater or cardigan look, we found great nautical details to pull together.
The cream, anchor print sweatshirt is super casual. To dress it up, we grabbed some gold jewelry that’s molded into knots. For the mom-on-the-go, we stuck with black leggings. And yes, black can totally work with blue in this case! To add a splash of color, we chose a red flat made of jute which reflects the rope aesthetic associated with boating.
The multi-directional stripes give this eclectic look a casual feel, but the purse’s details dress it up yet again. A hobo bag would have worked with this too, but for a chic finish we went with a more designer bag–plus the purse has our beloved anchor charm!
