In a recent NY Post article, by Tara Palmeri, a scheme to run around the rules and lines at Disney World in Florida has been exposed. Dr. Wednesday Martin, a social anthropologist, discovered the “underground network while doing research for her upcoming book “Primates of Park Avenue.”
By hiring a handicapped tour guide through Dream Tours Florida, Disney guests can get around the long lines and exploit Disney’s policy that “allows each guest who needs a wheelchair or motorized scooter to bring up to six guests to a more convenient entrance.” However access to the telephone number of Dream Tours Florida is a closely guarded secret and in fact, “passing around the rogue guide service’s phone number recently became a shameless ritual among Manhattan’s private-school set during spring break. The service asks who referred you before they even take your call.”
We would love to hear your thoughts on this. Defense for this hiring practice claims they are offering great job opportunities. What do you think?
