It’s hump day again! How did it arrive so soon? I feel like I was just writing last week’s Wednesday Wind Up! Alas, another week is here and these are the days of our lives. Right, lades?! (Cue some catchy soap opera-ish music here, please).

This week I decided to find my mid-week pick-me-up in the kitchen. In fact, at any point during the week that I find I need a little juice in my engine I go to this skinny power smoothie recipe. It takes just a few ingredients I usually keep on hand, only takes a few quick minutes to prepare, and after I drink, it I feel my midweek mojo on the rise.

There you have it. My Midweek Mojo Skinny Power Smoothie.

    Brooke’s Wednesday Wind Up: Midweek Mojo


    • 2 handfuls of spinach or kale (Don’t be afraid, you will see the color but not the taste. Promise.)
    • 1/3 cup plain Greek Yogurt (I avoid sweetened “vanilla” yogurts – fruit will sweeten this smoothie. Promise.)
    • ½ banana
    • 4-5 strawberries (frozen or fresh)
    • Small handful of blueberries (frozen or fresh)


    1. Blend all ingredients.
    2. Depending on your blender you may need to cut/chop some of the ingredients first but they should all blend nicely.
    3. To save time (or to save your sanity during next week’s mid-week rut), make extra and pour in mason jars and freeze.
    4. Then, you can just pop it out of the freezer and allow it to thaw a bit before enjoying straight from the jar with a straw.
