Too harsh? Maybe. But, it’s time to get up with determination every morning and be what it is you talk about! Go big or go home! Be the best person that you can be! It’s important to take the time and look at yourself every once in a while and take action on the things you want or need to change. Are you doing your best? Like honestly and truly doing your best and living your dream life? Your time is NOW! You and your family needs you to be on fire every day!
What excuses hit home the most..?
1. You are just too tired.
Guess what? Everywhere you look there are articles from doctors and specialists that say you should sleep 6-8hours a night. Why don’t you? Yes, I know it’s hard as a mom and I don’t get 8 hours of sleep every night either. But, it can be possible with setting a good schedule for your little ones or you can go to bed an hour early. Now does that mean that your older ones will never wake up from nightmares or your baby will never be crying and teething? Of course not. But stop staying awake checking Facebook or watching silly drama filled shows instead of catching up on some much needed sleep. Also, make sure you don’t have too much on your plate. It’s okay to say no to things that fill up every minute of your day and night. Don’t live your life being exhausted and in a daze. Go get yourself some rest, mama!
2. You are lazy and don’t have the time!
Eat your frogs! The frogs being the things you don’t feel like doing first. Work then play. Walk the talk. Yes, you heard all the little sayings, but they are so true! It’s time to get up and do the things you already know you need to do! That show you like to watch is not going to make your life or your family’s life any better. Doing the things you said you would can make a world of a difference! You don’t feel like it, I know, but guess what!? Someone needs to do it and it might as well be you! Get your life organized, set dead lines for things to be completed by, keep your house clean so that you can do all the other more important things easier. Be on time. Wake up 15 minutes earlier. Set yourself up to achieve every morning.
3. You surround yourself with crappy people!
Yes, you love them. They are your family and friends and you’ve known them forever. But how do they fuel your fire? Me being a big self development junkie, I found it interesting that the inspirational Jim Rohn once said, “You are the average of the 5 people you hang out with the most.” This might be harsh, but really, take a look at your surroundings and stay away from the naysayers at all times! Maybe it’s time to take some action and find some new friends. Even if it’s just finding people online through blogs or websites, these can be your new circle of influence! Positive attracts positive, and with bringing the good into your life, you will get more of it and find that those “types” of people will be more drawn to you. You want the people around you to have the same drive as you so that you can feel inspired, pushed, and simply understood! You can be on different paths and have different passions, but that drive to be better can be hard to find among people now days.
4. You give up way too easy!
This one is hard for me. I’m used to getting things handed to me…yes, I’m spoiled! If I hit a little rejection, I think things like “oh well it was not meant to be.” The beautiful thing is that you can LEARN how to be more persistent and keep going! Take a step back, remind yourself why you want to do something, and then keep pushing yourself to get there!
5. You don’t take responsibility.
You blame the weather, you blame others, you blame the road construction why you are late, you blame the baby because you are tired, you blame everyone and anything because Lord knows that you have nothing to do with it! Sorry for this reality check! But YOU have everything to do with your own life! You are in control of your thoughts, your actions, your surroundings. Yes, there are a million of things you cannot control, but there are a million things you can! Time to start being responsible for yourself.
