Digital Advertising Sales Representatives

Working Hours: Minimum 15 hours per week

Come be a part of the growing digital media ad world for an amazing website – Skinny Mom! This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground level and watch your income grow. We are looking to hire several sales people at this time in the Cincinnati area. If you want to help businesses market themselves affordably while earning a generous commission stream then this is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • • Prospect and close new advertising accounts
  • • Work with small to large advertising accounts to optimize their ad budgets spend
  • • Work with the graphic design group to ensure ads meet customer’s needs
  • • Provide regular pipeline and sales forecast updates
  • • Participate in regular sales meetings and training events

 

We are specifically looking for people who are:

  • • Self-motivated, energetic and charismatic individuals who enjoy being part of a fast pace start-up business environment.
  • • Well organized individuals who are good at multi-tasking.
  • • Familiarity with social media and Internet marketing with ability to work with and demonstrate computer and smartphone Apps.

Social Media Intern

Working Hours: 20/wk, 10 weeks

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for increasing our brand awareness, driving internet traffic, reaching quote activity within an assigned platform, and engaging with audiences in “real” time.
Tasks:
  • • Share website content on Pinterest through Pingage (a scheduling tool)
  • • Write brief, engaging descriptions of website content to drive traffic to site
  • • Research social media trends and execute those through all platforms
  • • Research content to promote on platforms
  • • Engage with social media audiences (fans and other pages)
  • • Develop an understanding of Skinny Mom’s audience and competitors
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • • Understanding of Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, StumbleUpon & Linkedin
  • • Solid understanding of the internet and social media marketing best practices
  • • Positive, encouraging attitude and ability to work as a team player

 

 

Graphic Design Intern

Working Hours: 20/wk, 10 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • • Designing online graphics
  • • Photo Research
  • • Archiving and resizing files
  • • Possibility to help with the production of any upcoming photo shoots

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • • MAC user
  • • Software: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (Video Editing is a plus, but not required)
  • • Enthusiastic about design and typography
  • • On time, meets deadlines and willing to help out with art department workload in any way she/he can
  • • Must have a positive attitude

PR Intern

Working Hours: 20/wk, 10 weeks

Responsibilities:
This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in and studying PR. This is a fast paced position and you will get lots of hands-on opportunities.
Tasks:
  • • Pitch blogs and media outlets for coverage of Skinny Mom
  • • Help establish public relations plan
  • • Build media list with contacts
  • • Write releases
  • • Research and develop an understanding of Skinny Mom’s audience and competitors
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • • Positive, encouraging attitude and ability to work as a team player

 

Nutrition Intern

Working Hours: 20/wk, 10 weeks

Responsibilities:
This position is an incredible opportunity for a student studying food & nutrition. This is a fast paced position and you will get lots of hands-on opportunities.
Tasks:
  • • Help to create healthy recipes
  • • Create meal plans for various diet-types
  • • Assist with nutritional analysis of current recipes
  • • Test various recipes
  • • Help to photograph new recipes once prepared
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • • Positive, encouraging attitude and ability to work as a team player
  • • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs

 

Editorial Intern

Working Hours: 20 per week

Editorial interns will work closely with members of the editorial staff in a fast-paced environment due to daily website content changes. While assisting in a wide range of projects, interns will gain hands-on experience and training in most aspects of editorial work.

Responsibilities:
• Reading, evaluating, and reporting on submissions of website content
• Editing articles and fact-checking
• Researching current trends in fitness, food, fashion, and family
• Creating titles for editorial submissions
• Writing content for website
• Creating content on WordPress

Necessary skills:
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with an eye for detail
• Knowledge of Skinny Mom’s content fields (fitness, food, fashion, family)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Efficient, proactive, on time, and ability to meet deadlines
• Positive, encouraging attitude and ability to work as a team player
• Computer literacy, particularly in a Mac environment
