Dr. Shelley Shearer

Dr. Shelley Shearer is a mother of three young toddlers, a successful business owner, a dentist and a wife.   After graduating dental school, Shelley volunteered for Kentucky Operation Bright Smile, the Kentucky State Fair Sealant program and spent time in the Dominican Republic as a missionary dentist before opening up her busy practice in Northern Kentucky. Dr. Shearer has been nominated by Cincinnati Magazine as one of the top dentists and also nominated to Cincinnati's 100 Wise Women. Shelley is a real life mother who tries to "do it all" and still end up with a smile on her face at the end of the day.   Shelley has had previous competition experiences in her teens and twenties as a colligate majorette for the University of Kentucky as well as Miss Majorette of Kentucky and a finalist in Miss Majorette of America. Although those days are behind her, she has maintained her active lifestyle by teaching spinning classes , running after her three kids and trying to keep up with her active and athletic husband.  The biggest challenge is trying to strike a balance and give everyone the attention they need and deserve and be happy doing it.  It is important for her to try to establish and maintain a healthy balance for yourself, your family, your friends, your religion and her patients.  She takes pride in all that she does yet realizes that life can throw you some unexpected turns.  Her hope is to leave a honorable, yet realistic example for her children.
