I’m so excited that Skinny Mom has teamed up with Roxy and their new Roxy Outdoor Fitness, a collection of workout clothes that you can work out in indoors and outdoors.
Roxy is daring. Their clothing has always been built around that active Cali lifestyle. But, with this new collection of workout clothes, anyone, anywhere can find that inner athlete and hit the pavement, park, water and waves! It doesn’t matter what part of the country you are in, these clothes will inspire you to challenge your terrain.
So, with that in mind, the dare I chose to complete this week is the two-a-day workout. Yes, I’m challenging myself and all of you ladies to get in not one, but two workouts for the next week – one in the morning and one in the evening!
I plan on waking up in the a.m. (before Easton) and getting in my Skinny Workout. These are the workouts that I send out in the newsletter, which you can do at home or at the gym. The workouts feature four moves that you do in intervals (one minute per move/repeated five times) for a total of 20 minutes. With this workout, you complete move 1 (max out with as many reps as you can in 1 minute), and move directly to move two (max out with as many reps as you can in 1 minute), move directly to move three, and so on, resting for that 5th minute and then repeating the cycle for a total of four times. So, that’s workout one – it’s quick but effective…trust me ladies, you will feel the burn!
Then, Roxy Outdoor Fitness has motivated me to get my booty out of my house and do my cardio outdoors! For workout number two, I plan on running outside with my jogging stroller, doing interval training at the park while Easton plays, hitting my local high school and running the stairs, or going on a power walk for 20-30 minutes every day this week!
I know first hand how hard it is to try to set aside an hour each day to work out. For my schedule, I found that breaking it up into two shorter workouts makes it so much easier. It also keeps my energy level higher. I don’t kill myself or my mood by rushing or dragging my feet through a long workout, and I still have a lot of time each day to get my errands done and play with my little man!
Come on ladies, let’s enjoy the free gym that’s available to all of us: the great outdoors.
Take your workout to the next level. I DARE you!
Interested in the DARES, but not sure you want to take the challenge with me? Well, not only will your body and your mood thank you for the extra endorphin boosts this week, but every time you take part in a Roxy Dare and share it with us, you’ll be entered to win some FABULOUS clothing from Roxy Outdoor Fitness.
