I originally found this recipe on a friend’s fb page – from Oxmor House – and just made some modifications to skinny-fy it. This is a taco/casserole/pizza hybrid that is very good! Enjoy:)
Directions:
Brown meat and onion in a large skillet and drain well
Add water, seasoning, and drained tomatoes to meat/onion mixture
In a 9×13 baking dish lightly coated with cooking spray – press crescent rolls into the bottom and halfway up the sides
Spread re-fried beans on top of the crescent roll layer (Yes, this is harder than it sounds…just do it gently and your rolls wont get too mangled.) This step can be left out, I just added it for the fiber.
Spoon meat mixture over the bean layer
Bake at 425 degrees F for 12 minutes – remove from oven and top with cheese
Return to the oven for 5 minutes (or until the cheese melts and the edges of the crust are browned)
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving

OMG made this for dinner tonight it is super yummy I did only use 1 can of the reduced fat crescents even my 2 yr old chowed done awesome job ladies
This was delicious!! I found a whole wheat pizza crust in near the crescent rolls and used that. I pre-baked that for 5 minutes. I found it made the beans spread easier! Then I layered some mexicorn over the beans, then added the meat mix. Sooo yummy!
one way to make refried beans spread easier is to warm them with a little salsa. I have done this countless times with taco dip and I will definitely do the same when I try this recipe. It sounds awesome!
Amazing recipe! My husband insists he doesnt like “healthy” food ! He had no clue it was ground turkey and he loved it
