Chocolate Pumpkin Oatmeal

I can’t think of a better way to start my day than with a hot bowl of oatmeal. This recipe below is one of my FAVORITE ways to enjoy my oats!! By “simply” adding pure pumpkin, a scoop of chocolate protein powder and some toasted pecans, it not only  keeps my belly nice and warm on these crisp fall mornings, it also energizes me for hours!!

Chocolate Pumpkin Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup large flake oats
  • 1 tbs gr flax
  • cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup pure canned pumpkin
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1tbs toasted pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare first 3 ingredients in a bowl with enough boiling water too cover oats
  2. 2. Stir and place a plate over top
  3. 3. Once set (about 5 -7 mins), stir in pumpkin and protein powder, top with toasted pecans.

Nutrition Info and Tips

Really good with a spoonful of greek yogurt on top, drizzled with real maple syrup!
