A twist on your favorite summer dessert, these yummy banana and dark chocolate S’mores will be the fresh new hit on camp out night! Bananas are a great source of energy, and are packed with potassium which greatly reduces high blood pressure. Furthermore, they are rich with compounds that are connected to healthy kidneys and bones. Dark chocolate is packed with antioxidants, and therefore shows some very real health benefits (hooray!) and, if consumed in moderation, can reduce blood pressure and release stress hormones to keep your body healthy and happy. Simple and delicious, these skinny S’mores will make those long summer nights something worth savoring!
Ingredients
- 3 bananas cut into 1-inch pieces
- 12 (0.3-ounce) individually wrapped squares of dark chocolate
- 12 low fat graham cracker sheets, broken in half
Instructions
- Place the banana pieces onto 3 metal skewers, and place the skewers on a grill rack coated with cooking spray.
- Close the grill lid, and grill over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, or until the bananas are soft.
- Place 1 square of the dark chocolate onto 1 graham cracker half.
- Top with the grilled banana pieces and a second graham cracker half.
