I can hardly believe it but my vacation is over and I am back to work full force! For the first time in maybe four years, I decided to really make this a vacation and leave work at home. Although I did still have some homework to do; all emails, blogging and blackberries were set aside so I could truly soak in the meaning of vacation and spend uninterrupted time with my family.
My fiance’, my son and I traveled to Arizona where we spent one day near Sedona at the Out of Africa Safari Park, one day at the Grand Canyon, and another day just basking in the sun, fun and beauty of Scottsdale. While I did somehow manage to squeeze in a couple of quick workouts during the week, that wasn’t my focus either. For once I spent much of my time snuggling with my little boy, holding hands with my soon to be husband, taking deep breaths and tons of pictures.
Today I came to the office to find a stack of to-do’s on my desk, a voice mail box fully loaded, and nearly 500 unanswered emails. But at the end of the day can I say it was worth it to put everything accept my personal life aside for a week? Are you kidding me? Of course it was… just look at this little happy face!
