As we all know, “there is an App for that”. There are apps for the weather, crafts for children, quick dinners, weight loss, food diaries and even apps to look at my patients x-rays. The convience of these new smart phones is incredible! You can surf the internet, find directions, check your emails, text, log in what your eating and what workouts you tackled at the gym, all on your phone. Did you know there are even apps for checking how long the lines are at Walt Disney World?
So here are some of my apps that I use on my iphone: Allrecipes- this one is fun because it has the Dinner Spinner on it. So let’s say you looking for a main course for dinner with chicken and you have 2o minuets. You plug it in and the Dinner Spinner gives you all sorts of options. I also like the Food Network’s appliation. There is the Craft finder which helps you find age appropriate crafts for your kids. An early childhood educational app is Letter trace, which helps your chld learn upper and lower case letters. The app that I have been using for the last year for both weight tracking, working out and a food diary is Livestrong. There are some incredible apps that cost a little more but provide workout routines but cost a little more like ipump.
Everytime I see a patient or and friend playing with there phone I try to check out some of there apps.
What are some of your favorite and most used apps on your phone?
