Ingredients
- 2 apples (look for Gala, Macintosh, or Brae-burn)
- 1 ripe banana (ripe bananas will be naturally sweeter)
Instructions
- Peel, core, and cut apples into chunks
- Place apple chunks into a small pan with just enough water to cover apples and boil until tender.
- Mash apples with a potato masher or use a food processor to puree apples. Set aside.
- Peel banana and mash with a fork until smooth.
- Add banana to applesauce and stir until smooth. You can also use a food processor to mix to desired consistency.
- Top applesauce and banana with wheat germ or crushed Cherrios®
